COMMUNITY OUTREACH  MINISTRY

Our vision is to model Christ's love through service as we reach out to those inside as well as outside the four walls of the church. 

Our Mission

We are dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by addressing the spiritual, emotional, physical and material needs of the people.  The Community Service Outreach Ministry is broken out into 6 distinct programs: (1) Community Involvement, (2) Health Awareness, (3)Education, (4) Benevolence, (5) Kitchen Coordination, and (6) Wedding Coordination;  which we hope will not only assist in developing a long lasting relationship among our church and the local community, but also open minds and encourage individuals to begin their walk with the Lord.

Community Involvement - involves encouraging relationships and sharing among our church family and the local community. This program encompasses a range of different initiatives; from coat drives, meals for the Women Shelters, back to school packages, Senior meals, etc., all being accomplished by the different Lighthouse Ministries.

Health Awareness - involves improving the health status of the people within the community through health education and promotion forums, nutrition counseling, preventive medicine interventions, and a variety of health screening projects.

Education - involves courses designed to assist individuals with professional self-development.  We will be providing a full range of instructional services that address the basic educational needs of adults at no cost.  Our goal will be to focus on the literacy and skills training that today's workers need to gain new employment, retain present jobs, advance in their careers or increase productivity.

Benevolence - consists of the desire to show care, compassion, encouragement and prayer to the congregation and their immediate family during times of crisis.

Kitchen Coordination - involves oversight of the kitchen facility during fellowship meals, which include stocking, preparing nutritional menus, the operation, decorating, and cleaning of the facility.

Wedding Coordination - our desire is to make every wedding ceremony a beautiful and spiritual event by extending every possible courtesy.  The Wedding Coordinator is responsible for assisting in all the arrangements from the rehearsal, the wedding, and the reception.
