ABOUT US
The Mission of
Lighthouse Baptist Church is to preach, teach, and make
converts to the Lord Jesus Christ and train them to observe
His commandments. To reach and minister to all that will
accept Christ as their Savior. We shall endeavor to reach
beyond the four walls of our church, in the city of Waldorf
and surrounding community. We are a positive force in this
community built on solid biblical principles, using the Holy
Bible as the authority for our spiritual walk in this life.
Our purpose is to be Christ-like in our daily living by
emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and
possessions to the lordship of Jesus Christ.
We shall: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit. And teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the
very end of the age.
Matthew 28:19 -20 NIV
Our Vision
To establish and build a church
of new believers that constitute a spirit fed family of
Christ. A church that works diligently to help win souls to
Christ. A church of all races and all backgrounds. We will
minister to the needs of the surrounding community
spiritually, mentally, and physically through outreach
programs such as the Hughesville Homeless Shelter Angel Watch
Program, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Mentoring, and
Tutoring. Accomplishment of these tasks is through church
service, prayer meeting, bible study, passing out flyers,
advertising, and by word of mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Also, included are activities held at the church for the
community such as mentoring Westlake High School students,
movie night, assisting Veterans, and support groups for women
and men. Our intent is to provide a church where anyone can
learn how the word of God can set them free from the bondage
of sin in this world. The location of this church is 3150
Middletown Road, Waldorf, Maryland. A church that proclaims
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally, to plant a new church
from Lighthouse Baptist Church. |
